Referrals to Our Unit
We accept referrals from consultants, medical officers, and healthcare professionals from within and outside the National Hospital Galle. Our multidisciplinary team assesses each referred patient to develop a personalized rehabilitation plan based on medical needs and functional goals.
Who Can Be Referred?
Patients with neurological, orthopedic, musculoskeletal, or complex rehabilitation needs such as:
- Stroke survivors
- Spinal cord injuries
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Post-surgical or trauma patients with impaired mobility
- Patients with chronic pain or musculoskeletal disorders
- Children with developmental or neurological conditions
How to Refer
Referrals can be made by submitting a referral letter to the Maliban Rehabilitation Unit. The letter should include:
- Patient details and contact information
- Diagnosis and medical history
- Reason for referral
- Current treatments and relevant investigations
